Lots here range widely. South Barrie, Innisfil and Bradford new builds usually have a tight rear yard, a six foot gate and a basement panel close to the back wall, which makes for a straightforward dolly delivery and a short electrical run. Older homes in Allandale and the east end often have mature trees and a narrower side yard, so we measure before we quote. Cottage and waterfront properties on Lake Simcoe or Georgian Bay are a different job: sloped lots, seasonal roads and long distances to the hydro panel. Our crews handle all of it, including crane lifts over a cottage roof.

Can I run a hot tub at a cottage with only 100 amp service?
Usually yes. The Nordic Sport All-In-110V and Retreat All-In-110V plug into a dedicated standard outlet and heat more slowly, which suits a cottage used on weekends. If you want a full 240V Jacuzzi at the lake, have an ESA licensed electrician do a load calculation first; many cottages have room for a 50 amp GFCI circuit once the baseboard heaters are accounted for.
When is the best time of year to have a tub delivered to a cottage?
Late spring after the half load season lifts, or fall before the seasonal roads close. Spring load restrictions on county and township roads limit what a delivery truck can carry for several weeks, so we schedule around them. Winter deliveries to plowed year round roads are fine and common in Barrie itself.
How much snow can a hot tub cover take?
The covers on the Jacuzzi and Nordic tubs we sell are built to carry a normal snow load, but a wet Georgian Bay squall can pile on more weight than any cover should sit under for days. Brush it off when it gets deep, the same as you would a gazebo roof. A cover lifter makes that easier and keeps the cover out of the snowbank when you get in.
Does well water change how I look after the tub?
Yes. Well water in Oro-Medonte, Essa and rural Innisfil often runs hard with iron or manganese, which stains shells and clouds water if you fill straight from the hose. We recommend a pre-filter on the fill hose and a metal sequestering treatment at start-up. On Barrie or Orillia municipal water the routine is simpler, and we will set you up with the right test strips either way.
Will the tub stay warm if we lose power in a winter storm?
A full foam insulated tub with the cover on holds usable heat for a day or more in a typical outage, and the water will not freeze for considerably longer. For cottages that sit empty, ask us about freeze protection and the SmartTub app on the J-400 and J-500 series so you get a temperature alert on your phone. A small generator can run the circulation pump if outages are common on your road.
